OK Compost Certification
OK Compost certification is a biodegradable product certification issued by TUV Austria, the European Union's bioplastics certification body, after plastic products have undergone a series of tests in accordance with international standards for biodegradable materials and have met the relevant requirements. Both OK Compost and Seedling are the world's most authoritative certification systems for compostable products made of biodegradable materials, and their certified products are recognized throughout Europe and even gain access to the global market.
The difference between home compost and industrial compost
Also known as commercial composting, industrial composting is large-scale composting designed to dispose of large amounts of organic waste. The Seedling compostability mark for Industrial composting and Seedling compostability Mark are both based on DIN EN 13432. The cycle is 180 days. Household composting refers to the composting process that mainly uses household kitchen waste or garden waste as the main raw material to carry out aerobic composting for production and life for their own use. The testing criteria for household compost are based on NF T51-800 Plastics - Specification for Plastics suitable for household compost. The cycle should not exceed one year.
